attractions offer a myriad of things to see and do, whether you're looking
to fill an hour or a day. With choices as varied as museums, theaters, and

American
Presidential Museum
The
American Presidential Museum offers visitors a glimpse at one of the most
powerful political positions in the world. Guests can take a picture with
the president in the Oval Office or climb aboard Air Force One. The museum
is open daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $12. It is located at
3107 W. Highway 76.
Celebration
City
This
nighttime theme park will celebrate 20th century America. Celebration
City will have more than 30 rides and attractions and 10 retail shops.
There will also be a laser light show at the park every night. Celebration
City is a Silver Dollar City theme park slated to open in May 2003. It
will be located at 399 Indian Point Road on Silver Dollar City's
grounds.
Dolly Parton's
Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show
Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede Dinner and Show, located at 1525 W.
Highway 76, has more than 32 horses and a cast of riders that perform
daring tricks. Guests can see all the action while they enjoy a four-course
meal. The 35,000-square-foot arena seats 1,000 people. Ticket prices range
from $29 to $39. The site's operating hours vary.
Grand Country
Square
Tourists
can enjoy several pastimes at Grand Country Square. The park has an indoor
mini golf course and an indoor water park, Splash Country. The water park
also has a multilevel tree house, two spas, giant tube slides, and an
indoor river. Grand Country Square also has the world's largest
banjo, which is considered to be Branson's Eiffel Tower. The square,
located at 1945 W. Highway 76, also has retail shops and restaurants.

Hollywood
Wax Museum
Guests
can see some of Hollywood's biggest names face to face. The Hollywood
Wax Museum, at 3030 W. Highway 76, has the likenesses of Elvis Presley,
John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe, and many other stars. The museum is located
on two floors with exhibits that showcase television and movie history.
Admission is $9.95 for adults, $8.95 for seniors, and $6.95 for children.
The museum is open daily from 8 a.m. to midnight.
Inspiration
Tower
This
is the place to visit to see panoramic views of the Ozark Mountains. Inspiration
Tower is 230 feet tall, weighs more than 3 million pounds, and can stand
winds up to 224 mph. Tourists can ride one of two glass elevators to the
tower's observation deck where they can see more than 90 miles on
a clear day. Inspiration Tower is open year-round from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
April through October, 10 a.m. to midnight in November and December, and
from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. January through March. Admission prices range from
$2 to more than $90. It is located at 5586 W. Highway 76.
Ozark Discovery
IMAX Theater
Visitors
can see several films at the Ozark Discovery IMAX Theater, including Space
Station and The Ozarks Legacy & Legend. The movies are presented on
a six-story screen that has a 22,000-watt, 44-speaker sound system. The
theater is located at 3562 Shepherd Hill Expressway. Admission is $8.50
plus tax for adults and $4.95 plus tax for children. Call (800) 419-4832

Ride the
Ducks
Ride
the Ducks is the original and the best land and lake show in Branson.
Guests will go on an 80-minute tour aboard an amphibious vehicle that
will take them to the top of a mountain to see the Ozarks and on Lake
Tanycomo. No reservations are required because there are frequent departures
from Duck Central. Rides are given only March through December. Prices
depend on the size of a group. Ride the Ducks is located 2320 W. Highway
76.
Ripley's
Believe It or Not! Museum
The
building that houses the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum is the
most photographed structure in Branson. The building was fractured during
a magnitude 8.0 earthquake in 1812. The museum, located at 3326 W. State
Highway 76, has more than 400 exhibits that will amaze visitors. This
attraction is open daily from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. March 15th to December
15th and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. December 16th through March 14th. Admission
price for adults is $13.95 and $7.95 for children between ages 4 and 12.
The Sammy
Lane Pirate Cruise
The
Sammy Lane Pirate Cruise is a 70-minute, narrated tour about the White
River. Guests will see a pirate fight when they stop at the Boston Ridge
Gold Mine. The Sammy Lake Pirate Cruise, located at 280 Lake Drive, is
the oldest continuous attraction in Missouri. The boat line began on Lake
Taneycomo in 1913. Prices range from $6.50 to $9.75. Call (417) 334-3015

Shepherd of the Hills Homestead
Shepherd of the Hills Homestead demonstrates Ozark history and culture.
The park has playgrounds, horseback trail rides, and an animal area. Visitors
also have an opportunity to see Harold Bell Wright's novel, "The
Shepherd of the Hills," as a live-action drama with horses and music.
This site is located at 5586 W. Highway 76. Admission prices vary. This
attraction is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. April through October,
10 a.m. to midnight in November and December, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
January through March.
Silver Dollar
City
Silver
Dollar City, which is located at 399 Indian Point Road, is one of the
oldest theme parks in Branson. The park has a 1880s theme that shows American
and Ozark history. It has four festivals, 50 stage shows, and the world's
first wet-dry roller coaster. Silver Dollar City also has 12 on-site restaurants
and 60 shops. It is the entrance to Marvel Cave. Ticket prices and operating
hours vary.
Waltzing
Waters Fountain Show
Waltzing
Waters Fountain Show is a live water attraction that is timed to some
of the world's most well-known music. More than 40,000 gallons of
water are used to choreograph the water with music and colored lights.
Frederick Antonio plays two pianos simultaneously while the water rises
and falls from more than three stories. Show times are at 10 a.m., 1 p.m.
and 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. This show is presented at Silver Dollar
City, which is located at 399 Indian Point Road.
White Water
White
Water is a 12-acre water park. It has the area's largest water rides
and attractions, including the Tropical Twister, the Paradise Plunge,
and the Monsoon Lagoon. Small children will also enjoy White Water because
there are rides and attractions especially for them. White Water is a
Silver Dollar City amusement park located at 399 Indian Point Road. Admission
